Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Kizer graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2002 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. She has a special interest in exotic animals including fish and has done surgery on a four foot long shark! She continues to work as a veterinarian at the aquarium, Sea Life MN, in the Mall of America. Dr. Kizer has three children, a shih tzu named Cody, a terrier named Burt and a cat named Smokey.

Dr. Ferguson graduated in 1999 from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a very patient and thorough veterinarian. She has two dogs, Boo and Ginger, and two cats. Dr. Ferguson says, "I have always wanted to be a veterinarian. I enjoy the challenge of both medicine and surgery. There is no better job in the world for an animal lover."

Chad graduated from North Dakota State University in 2000 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. He has experience with companion and exotic animal as well as an interest in animal behavior. Chad is also an instructor at Argosy University with the Veterinary Technology program. He lives with a doberman named Leo and a shih tzu named Chloe.
Certified Veterinary Technician
Jerri currently works part time at Lexington Pet Clinic and teaches at Argosy University in the Veterinary Technology Program. She graduated with her Bachelors in Biology Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin River Falls in 2008. Her special interest is exotic animal medicine. She just started the first Minnesota tortoise rescue, Sheltered Shells Tortoise Rescue. Jerry owns 2 French Bulldogs, a Brussels, an exotic shorthair cat, a cockatoo, a cockatiel, a flying squirrel, hamsters, & several tortoises!
Jen Drinen Jen graduated from Argosy University with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She shares her home with two dogs, a cat, a ferret, and a guinea pig. Jen has a special interest in exotic animal medicine and dentistry. She is also an adjunct instructor at Argosy University. “I feel very fortunate to work with compassionate professionals who love working with animals as much as I do!”
Julie Young Certified Veterinary Technician
Julie graduated from Argosy University in 2004 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She has a special interest in exotic animals and wildlife. Julie has owned a wide variety of pets, currently she has 2 cats and a dog. Julie has 8 years experience working with exotic animals, pocket pets and companion animals. Laurie McKay
Receptionist
"I have the best job in the world!" says Laurie. Laurie is a professional veterinary receptionist who comes to us with years of experience at three different veterinary facilities in the metro area. She had worked with Chad and Dr. Ferguson previously so when the opportunity became available to work with them again at Lexington Pet Clinic, she jumped at it. "I'm so excited to be a part of this!" she says. "It's thrilling to work in a clinic that is committed to excellence and that treats everything from dogs and cats to boa constrictors and fish." Laurie, a devout animal lover herself, is proudly owned by three cats; Rita, Mabel and Alice.
