Dr. Alysia Ferguson

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Ferguson graduated in 1999 from University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a very patient and thorough veterinarian. She has two dogs, Boo and Ginger; and cats, Tom and Magnus. Dr. Ferguson says, “I have always wanted to be a veterinarian. I enjoy the challenge of both medicine and surgery. There is no better job in the world for an animal lover.”

Dr. Amy Kizer

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Kizer graduated in 2002 from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to her work at Lexington Pet Clinic, Dr. Kizer is also the staff veterinarian for Sea Life Aquarium in the Mall of America. She is a sought out speaker in exotic and aquatic animal medicine and is an instructor at the University of Minnesota in non-traditional pets. She resides in Savage with her family which includes three children, one dog, and a very patient husband!

Dr. Jennifer Terhark

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Terhark has always had a passion for animals and began working in the veterinary field in 2012. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Northwestern - St. Paul before attending veterinary school at the University of Minnesota. She is passionate about partnering with clients and working together to provide the best possible care for their animals. Outside of her work at LPC, she enjoys camping, hiking, and spending as much time as she can with her Golden Retriever, Max, and her cats, Zeus and Nala.

Chad Stevenson

Certified Veterinary Technician
Practice Manager

Chad graduated from North Dakota State University in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology. He has experience with companion and exotic animals as well as an interest in animal behavior. He resides in Bloomington with his partner, Matt, a shih tzu named Mila, a cat named Hosta and four silkie chickens.

Katie

Certified Veterinary Technician

Katie graduated in August 2015 from Argosy University with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She completed her clinical training at the MN Zoo and at the Wildlife Rehab Center of MN. In the past she has worked at the New England Aquarium in Boston rehabilitating sea turtles, and at the Great Lakes Aquarium in Duluth. Her biggest passions in the veterinary field are exotics and wildlife, and she loves that she gets to learn something new everyday.  

Emily M. (Millie)

Certified Veterinary Technician

Emily attended Argosy University. She transferred and finished her classes at Dakota County Technical College when Argosy closed, and graduated in 2019. Emily has always loved animals, especially reptiles and amphibians! She hopes to broaden her experience with exotics and is excited to be able to work with them on a daily basis. At home she has one cat named Lulu lemon (not named after the leggings brand!). Her favorite part of the day is when she gets to snuggle with Lulu in a pile of warm blankets.

Dana

Certified Veterinary Technician

Dana grew up knowing she had a passion for working with animals. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and with her Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from Dakota County Technical College in August 2022. She started as a veterinary technician intern at LPC in May of 2022, which is when she quickly found a love for exotic animal medicine. Dana also has experience with dog training and behavior, as she interned with a service dog program during her time at UW-River Falls where she trained diabetic alert and mobility assistance dogs. Dana’s love for service dogs and training came from her experience growing up alongside her parents’ hearing assistance dogs, Nala and Ily. She loves spending her time outdoors, watching her favorite shows, or hanging out with her handsome leopard gecko named Chicken.

Angie

Veterinary Technician

Angie graduated from Argosy University with a Veterinary Technology degree in 2016. She is very passionate for all kinds of animals, though her biggest interest in the veterinary field is exotics and felines. Angie has volunteered at multiple rescues and shelters, such as The Animal Humane Society, Feline Rescue Inc, and The Wildcat Sanctuary. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and camping with her cat, Xena & snuggling Hanz, a Polish Dwarf rabbit.

Spencer

Certified Veterinary Technician

Spencer graduated Dakota County Technical College with an Associates degree in veterinary technology in 2023. Growing up he has always had a love for animals and wanted to help them in any way he could. He has experience in emergency veterinary care and general practice. He is very interested in exotics and wildlife medicine. Spencer likes to hang out with his cat Ada at home and being outside to ride the mountain bike trails.

Emily M.

Veterinary Assistant

Emily graduated from the University of Minnesota with a major in animal science. She is actively pursuing a career in veterinary medicine and has a goal of working with exotic and companion animals. While at LPC, Emily hopes to further her knowledge in exotic animal care and treatment. In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her three dogs, Seamus , Max, and Isley, an albino hedgehog and her guinea pigs, Miss Piggy and Annie Sue.

Anna

Veterinary Assistant

Anna graduated from Hamline University in 2020 with a degree in Digital Media Arts. After graduating, Anna realized that she was meant to work with animals. She began her veterinary career at the only full-service nonprofit veterinary hospital in the Midwest. At LPC, Anna’s favorite patients are the rodents of all shapes and size! During her free time, Anna enjoys snuggling with her one-eyed, 5-year-old Lionhead rabbit mix, Gunther and hanging out with her friends.

 

Danielle

Customer Service Representative

Danielle joined the National Guard in 2015 and shortly after graduated with her degree in criminal justice. While working in the criminal justice field she realized that her true passion was working with animals. During her free time she enjoys going to the gym, shopping and spending time with her husband and cat Poncho.

Kristin

Customer Service Representative

Kristin graduated from The University of Minnesota Duluth with a degree in Biology in 2010. It was there that she developed a passion for fish while living on Lake Superior. She moved back to the Twin Cities and got a job at Sea Life Mall of America specializing in Seahorses, Sea Dragons and all things aquatic. She hopes to continue to pursue her passion for animals here at the clinic. In her spare time, Kristin loves spending time with her family and is kept very busy with her children, Lucy and Theodore.

 

Kelsey

Customer Service Representative

Kelsey graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Psychology. She then completed several internships abroad before returning to the States to begin a career training marine mammals in Florida. She was able to work with a wide variety of marine mammals and holds a passion for all things aquatic and conservation-related. After returning to her roots in Minnesota she wanted to continue her work with animals, and found her niche at LPC. She enjoys SCUBA diving, going to her cabin, and finding new ways to entertain her three cats, Remington, Finnegan, and Mitzi.

Carley

Customer Service Representative

Carley is a passionate animal lover who has dedicated her time to caring for and understanding animals. From a young age, she formed deep connections with animals and knew that she wanted to work with them. She started working for a local pet sitting and dog walking business. Over the years she has personally worked with over 200 pets from cats, dogs and fish to birds and reptiles. She is pet CPR certified and trained in animal behavior. Carley also has a successful small business making pet collars and leashes. When Carley isn't working, she is spending time with her four daughters, husband, 3 dogs, and her bearded dragon, Pete.

Olivia

Customer Service Representative/Technician Assistant

Olivia, a dedicated student at the University of Minnesota, is currently on her path towards an Animal Science degree while pursuing a minor in English. With her sights set on becoming a veterinarian, she is driven by her dreams and passion for animals.

Animals have always held a special place in Olivia's heart, and her personal zoo includes a ball python, leopard gecko, White's tree frog, axolotl, and Russian tortoise. Alongside her loyal companion and sidekick, Holly the dog, they form an unbeatable team! When she's not busy caring for animals, Olivia enjoys traveling, spending time with loved ones, and indulging in movie marathons. Since joining LPC in June of 2022, she's been making a difference in animal’s lives and nurturing her passion.
